Medical Marijuana Counseling
Using marijuana for its medicinal benefits began as far back as 2700 B.C.E. although all uses of marijuana became restricted in the United States by various federal legislative acts starting in 1937. California became the first state to push back against federal laws by allowing for its medicinal use in 1996. Since then, a total of 38 states have passed laws allowing for medical use and 24 of those 38 also allow for recreational use.
As a result, the use of medical marijuana is not adequately addressed in contemporary medicine. Individuals faceing anxiety, depression, trauma, seizures, sleep disturbance, poor appetite, chronic pain, and other significant health issues often have to navigate medical marijuana on their own.
The medical marijuana patients group is a great opportunity for medical marijuana patients to learn how THC and CBD products can be applied to treat their illnesses while also learning about side effects and safety. At the same time, they can learn coping skills to address their stress, depression, and anxiety.
